We are currently looking for someone to help us with on-farm labor as well as work one of our Saturday morning Farmers Markets. We are a small market farm in east Jefferson County specializing in growing salad greens and a wide array of other crops. On-farm labor will include seeding, planting, cultivating, and harvesting as well as some basic farm maintenance of farm tools and facilities. Farmers Market work will include some set up and break down of market booth, speaking with customers, and helping them with any items they may be interested in purchasing. Someone who has a positive attitude and is punctual with a good work ethic is a must.

Internship Opportunity at Rains and Sun Hill Top Farm

Part Time Position

 We are hiring for a 3-4 day per week intern on our small, scale certified organic farm in Northern KY. This position is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of farm production and sales from planting, weeding and harvesting, to packing CSA shares and selling at Farmers Market. We are looking for someone who can start in early May and ideally work through October, although we'll definitely consider applications from students who go back to school in August. Starting pay is $12, with opportunity for growth. Benefits include lots of fresh vegetables, one dozen eggs per week, a weekly farm lunch on Wednesdays, and of course all that free exercise and sense of well-being from doing work together as a team.

100% Grass Fed Wool Sheep for Sale

These sheep are mixed breeds (Coopworth, Border Leicester, Rambouillet) in colors ranging from white to black and everything in between. We have ten sheep for sale. If you ever considered starting a flock of sheep for fiber production, this is a great place to start. Our sheep were born here in KY, are parasite-resistant, and have no foot issues.

Prices range from $350 - $400, depending on the sheep. Our white Rambouillet ram was put in with the girls on October 10th, so we're expecting lambs starting in March.
