(Explore Membership options here) As the outreach arm of Kentucky State University’s Land Grant Program, the Cooperative Extension Program enhances the quality of life for Kentuckians through research-based education in agriculture, health and community development. Central to this mission is the Harold R. Benson Research and Demonstration Farm, a hub for diverse studies ranging from aquaculture and soil management to the USDA’s national pawpaw gene bank. This site also houses the Center for Sustainability of Farms and Families, a multifunctional facility equipped with a commercial kitchen and large-scale event space designed to support stakeholders through hands-on workshops, food processing and statewide. conferences.
