2022 OAK Conferences
Sowing seeds for healthy soils, resilient farms and thriving communities
Plan to join us for the 11th Annual OAK Conference Series!
The event series is a must for farmers, agriculture professionals, and anyone passionate about building more resilient food systems - in Kentucky and beyond! Conference sessions provide useful tools, techniques, research and resources for use on and off the farm.
Virtual Conference on January 27 - 29: Spread out over 3 days, this online event will allow you to immerse yourself in the content, including Q&A sessions with the speakers. All elements of the conference will be recorded and available for viewing up to a year after the event. The virtual event platform Whova creates a interactive and engaging space for participant learning and connections.
1 and a half day in-person event in Hopkinsville, KY on March 17-18: This event takes place in western Kentucky at the Christian County Cooperative Extension Office and the new Ag Arena. The venue offers large meeting spaces. The 17th offers afternoon organic dairy farm tour and an organic mill tour. The 18th is a full day agenda including a keynote, sessions, a boxed lunch and networking time.
1-day in-person event in Burlington, KY on April 8: This single day event takes place in northern Kentucky at the Boone County Cooperative Extension Office and spacious Enrichment Center. The day's program includes a keynote, sessions, a boxed lunch, farm tours, and a short course.
Attend one or all of the events. We wish we could host the regular huge in-person event, but there are just too many unknowns to do that safely and in a way that is financially responsible - so you have access to the best of both worlds in 2022! In this time of unprecedented challenges for our communities and incredible opportunities to strengthen local food systems, the need for exploring best practices, sharing challenges and success, and learning with, and from one another is greater than ever - it will be inspirational to gather with you all!
Registration is now open for the Virtual Conference!

Stay tuned for in-person event details.
Conference sessions cover an array of production topics, pest and disease management, soil health, regenerative organic agriculture, current research, livestock management, marketing, and food systems change-making. Join us to hear from experienced farmers and national speakers in sessions and keynotes - and join in the conversation via live Q&A and networking opportunities. A Virtual Trade Show allows farmers to connect with the best technology, input suppliers, financial institutions, and educational resources.
Format: Access the January conference through Whova, a virtual platform to access live and recorded sessions, community networking, and shared resources. The in-person conferences will have multiple sessions and a keynote speaker, a boxed lunch, and farm tours or short courses.
COVID-19: We plan to host safe in-person gatherings as part of this conference series; however, we also acknowledge a level of uncertainty. For this reason, 2022’s conference events are planned in a way that will accommodate evolving COVID-19 safety precautions, and will follow CDC guidance on protocol. We reserve the right to postpone or transition to fully virtual events, if necessary.
CEUs will be available for Certified Crop Advisors, Cooperative Extension Agents (KERS), and Certified Pesticide Applicators (KDA).
We look forward to sharing the experience with you as we kick off 2022!
